FILMMAKER, COMPOSER & STAGE DIRECTOR

It was in Domrémy that he created his first immersive indoor sound-and-light show in 2019, with the participation of over a hundred contributors.

In 2021, he took over Lyon’s Saint-Jean Cathedral for the first installment of “Lyon Née de la Lumière,” seen by more than 22,000 spectators and performed to sold-out audiences. Several more shows in the same format followed, with ever-growing success.

Between 2024 and 2025, more than 200,000 people applauded his creations in Paris, Lyon, Mulhouse, Metz, Nancy, and Colmar.

He has also gained increasing recognition abroad: the celebration of Colombia’s 200th anniversary of independence in 2019 before 850,000 people, the 1st Dubai Festival of Lights, and the Shanghai World Expo…

Natacha Gerritsen

Co-Author & Co-Director

Actress, director, and voice director, Natacha Gerritsen brings her expertise in voice and acting to Damien Fontaine’s immersive creations. After beginning her career in theater and on-screen acting, she moved into voice dubbing and became an iconic voice in French dubbing. She has left her mark on several generations, lending her voice to cult animated characters: Angelica in Rugrats, Cédric in the eponymous series, and Izzy and Patamon in Digimon, as well as hundreds of series, films, and TV movies, along with shows like Les Guignols de l’Info and video games.

But what she loves more than anything is “guiding” actors. She has directed or staged numerous professional actors, including Axel Auriant, Philippe Torreton, Émilie Dequenne, Guillaume de Tonquédec, and Anny Duperey… as well as volunteer performers aged 5 to 85.

It was while directing the recording for one of Damien Fontaine’s shows that she met him. Since then, they have collaborated many times, notably co-writing several creations together. She likes to say that each of Damien’s shows is a new adventure, a new world to discover — and that, she says, is irreplaceable!

For the show Terra Aletia, Damien Fontaine and Natacha Gerritsen are delighted to count on the experience and talent of professional actor Nicolas Djermag, who will join and enrich the performance of the 80 volunteer supporting actors each evening — a valuable asset for this new artistic adventure.
